There was an Eclipse of the Sun on the 10th June, 2002, in Astrological Gemini, at 23h 44m GMT. It wasn't visible from Britain, but could be seen in Eastern Asia, the Pacific Ocean and much of North America. Where the full effect was observed, the beautiful ring effect of this Annular Eclipse appeared. From Asia and the western Pacific, this actually happened on 11th June, because of the International Date Line. This phenomenon happens because the apparent disk of the Moon doesn't quite block out the whole Sun. For this reason, it is not safe to view this without the correct kind of protection.

Astrologically and magickally, the Solar ring symbolises truth, eternity and oaths. The Eclipse in Gemini may be to do with information being blocked for a while, so beware of this. The Ruler of Gemini is the spirit of communication, so such things will be disrupted today - messages go astray, communications break down. As patron of travellers, he leads you down the garden path and into the wrong garden I fear. Travel will be disrupted and it's traditional to not begin a journey or even a new undertaking (symbolised by a journey) on such an occasion. He is also the God of Liars, so don't trust what is being said to you today and the Prince of Thieves, so watch your wallet (especially if you are watching the Eclipse, it will get fairly dark!) For those to whom it's relevant, be very aware that if you tell tales - or nick things - as sure as Sun will return, your misdemeanour will be uncovered eventually!

GEMINI: Just because you believe you are invulnerable does not mean you should behave like an idiot. Petty criminals beware - there will be repercussions! And if you make up a tall story today, it will backfire. This Eclipse may bring out the worst of your personality.
SAGITTARIUS: A romantic encounter may be quite charming, but possibly short-lived. Any sort of partnership deal is best not made and signed today - if inevitable, keep options open.
CANCER: You may feel mentally fragile or paranoid. If you feel that people are avoiding you, it's possible you are frightened of a scenario that doesn't exist. Write down your worst fears today - review them in a few days, cross off the most preposterous theories and whatever you are left with, have it out with the people concerned.
CAPRICORN: Whatever hard work you put into today seems to be unappreciated or to go wrong. Don't break your back, you may have to re-do everything in a couple of days' time!
LEO: Associates may let you down. Don't give too much of yourself away today, it's not the time. You may be misunderstood or held at your word, which you will regret later. Let new acquaintances or colleagues get to know about you and your talents over time and let them feel comfortable with you as well as you with them.
AQUARIUS: Suddenly your children turn into monsters. If you must resort to bribery, make sure you keep your side of the bargain. They will return to normal when it gets light again...
