My Luck isn't bad at the minute, after years of hardship I now look forward to each day. What I want to know is, is the bubble going to burst, is my luck going to go? I'm afraid that things are that good that something has to give and some other part of my life will suffer as a result.

It's certainly the way that it seems if you're having good luck you wonder when it is all going to turn. But don't forget, most of us feel even more anxious when it goes the other way - i.e. we have bad luck and we are desperate to know when it will change. Luck is only an expression, it is neither good nor bad - but it's how the tide of events affects the individual that makes us call it good or bad luck.

Your have a strong Birthchart and right now is a significant time. October will be an important time for you; and looking at your Ascendant, it would certainly suggest that something very powerful has come your way and will continue to have implications.

Don't get fearful, otherwise you will simply invite difficulties. Instead, be joyous and pleased that your luck is good. Give back what you have gained. The more generous, fun, charming, helpful and loving you are, the more the luck will simply multiply. I'm hoping to visit friends in the US later in the year but previously, every time I've planned to go something has always gone wrong, thus stopping me from visiting. Do you know why, and whether I'll actually make it there this year? I want to go in October when my friend is hoping to get married.

I have just broken up with a man I thought I would send the rest of my life with. I still love him dearly but I don't think I am the right person for him. I keep being told September 2001 is an important time for me - why?

I have had a look at your Birthchart and although I would say that September is a fairly important month for you, probably more so would be October to November. (I don't know where you got the message about September being important, it might have been quite general, or it might have been based on some other factor. I am going by your Birthchart, and it is useful to have your exact Birth details, because this gives your Rising Sign (Gemini. Don't forget to read Gemini as well as your Sun Sign, Virgo, when you read my horoscopes.) Really, I suppose, you could be finding yourself going through several changes and awakenings over this general period, in one sense, through a gradual realisation and possibly, in another sense, by being "pushed" or woken up by certain events around you.

It would seem that there is a certain restlessness within you, maybe a desire to make changes, some of which may focus on the way you make your money. You are heading towards a more spiritual and/or forward-thinking phase. This also applies very much in your personal life, your feelings about it, and may affect family life.

The feature in your Chart, The Head of the Dragon, being hit by the Planet Uranus this month and probably stronger in the month of October does mean that there is disruption in your life - one that seems to bring a whole load of stuff back with it, as if you've somehow lived through something like this before. Yes, you will move; but there are various obstacles. It looks like the main one will be removed. I had a look at your natal Chart, which gives you Sagittarius Rising. Now, this is important, because the Planet Pluto is travelling through this Sign, bringing gradual transformation and change. But at present, Saturn is opposite - sort of saying "I know circumstances are making change, but I'm doing my damnedest to prevent it or at least slow it down. You may not like it, but you'll learn from it!"

Whenever you read you Horoscope Predictions, read Sagittarius, as well as your Sun Sign, Virgo.

Your Tarot Cards show that it is your partner who wishes to initiate the move and is likely to take control. With the seven of Cups in the ninth position, it shows that there are doubts and fears in your mind and the card in the tenth position suggests that you have other reasons for wanting to stay where you are (the stability of your status). However, the card in the twelfth position also says that moving and making a change has always been at the back of your mind. The covering Card, the Hermit, suggests that it is your caution and that part of your character that is the careful, fussy and worrying Virgo that can be your own worst enemy and hold you back. However, the Judgment Card in the fourth position tells me that a move, by hook or by crook, is inevitable!

Will I find my diamond earrings? (See the "Your Stories" page, Ed.) They were diamond studs, set in white gold (well, if you are going to lose earrings they might as well be your best pair!). The insurance company were fine - I thought they mightn't believe me, but I suspect it was such an unlikely story they thought it must be true.

I looked at the Tarot, it does say they (or one maybe) will be found, but probably not by you. The Tarot advises to start again after a mishap, so I guess that's the insurance side of it. They're in the West and/or near water or damp and if they're found, they're more likely to be found in the evening and in the Autumn.

Never mind, things can be replaced, people can't. (And it WAS a funny story!)

Can you tell me if I will get a better job in the near future?

Not in the near future, no. But certainly in due course, a change for the better is coming your way and it will be down to your own hard work and your experience. I have put seven Tarot Cards down and the first one tells me that you are actually very well established in your present position. Your own knowledge, insight and type of personality will gain you a very fortunate change in the long run (Queen of Cups and Wheel of Fortune). The next five Cards are all reversed. You are not happy in your present position and someone (a male, probably a work colleague in a superior position) is making things difficult at present. Another male, either a boss or someone with whom you work closely, would not, at present, be helpful in your improving your position. (This is for a practical reason, rather than a personality clash.) The final Card is the Justice Card, it is reversed and tells me that an imbalanced situation exists at present. But it is precisely because it's imbalanced that you have to stick with what you're doing. It's very karmic really, telling you that you have to prove you can deal with the present situation and learn to redress that balance, before you can move on.
